Wedding Dog Chaperone Terms & Conditions

By paying the security payment, you confirm you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

Booking & Payments

A 30% security payment is required to secure your wedding dog chaperone booking. This payment confirms your date and is non-refundable except where required under UK consumer law. The remaining balance is due 1 month prior to the wedding date. Payments may be made in instalments provided the full balance is received by the due date.

Cancellations

  • Within 56 days of the wedding date: 50% of the total invoice remains payable.
  • Within 28 days of the wedding date: the full balance remains payable.

Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide all necessary supplies including food, water, leads, collars, ID tags, medication, and comfort items.
  • Ensure their dog wears a collar with a valid ID tag at all times, as required by UK law. Dogs may not be walked without an ID tag.
  • Ensure their dog is healthy and disclose any behavioural or medical issues.
  • Ensure dogs have not eaten within 1 hour prior to collection to reduce the risk of bloat or gastric torsion.
  • Disclose any aggression, anxiety, reactivity, or relevant behavioural concerns.
  • Remain legally responsible for their dog at all times outside of direct Snuggle Sitters supervision.
  • Accept responsibility for any loss, damage, injury, or liability caused by their dog, except where it results directly from the negligence of Snuggle Sitters.
  • Ensure dogs are comfortable walking on a loose lead. Service may be refused or adjusted for safety reasons.

Service Refusal & Welfare

  • All dogs may be subject to an initial assessment.
  • Snuggle Sitters reserves the right to refuse or withdraw service at any time if a dog is deemed unsafe, highly stressed, or incompatible with the service.
  • Service may also be refused or adjusted if handling instructions compromise welfare or safety.
  • Safety and welfare will always take priority, including on the day of the event.

Photography & Media

Clients consent to their dog being photographed or filmed for Snuggle Sitters marketing purposes unless they request otherwise in writing before the event.

Liability & Insurance

  • Snuggle Sitters holds Public Liability Insurance available upon request.
  • Snuggle Sitters is not liable for indirect loss, venue restrictions, or third-party incidents.
  • Liability for injury, loss, or damage is limited to cases where negligence by Snuggle Sitters can be proven.
  • Off-lead exercise is only permitted with signed consent and is always at the handler’s discretion, with safety and venue rules taking priority.

Emergency Procedures

  • Clients must provide up-to-date emergency contact details.
  • If emergency contacts cannot be reached, Snuggle Sitters may authorise veterinary treatment if required.
  • All veterinary costs remain the responsibility of the client unless negligence is proven.

Adverse Weather Policy

  • In hot weather, outdoor time may be reduced and shaded, cooled, and watered breaks will be prioritised.
  • Brachycephalic breeds will be closely monitored and kept cool and shaded where required.
  • In cold or wet weather, outdoor time may be shortened and protective items used if provided.
  • Animal welfare always takes priority and may affect planned wedding activities including photography.

Staff Allocation & Continuity

  • Staff are allocated based on experience and the needs of the dog.
  • Requests for specific staff members cannot be guaranteed.
  • Assigned staff are usually confirmed approximately 3 months prior to the wedding. Meet and greet sessions will be with the allocated chaperone where possible.
  • If the assigned staff member is unavailable, a suitably experienced replacement will be provided.
  • If the client chooses not to proceed, a refund of 50% of the total invoice will be issued.

Handover & Timing

  • Handover times are agreed during the meet and greet and form part of the booking agreement.
  • Clients must ensure a responsible person is available at the agreed handover time.
  • Late handovers will incur a charge of £25 per hour or part thereof, invoiced after the event and payable within 7 days.
  • If no one is available at handover time, additional care time will be charged until collection is completed.

Confidentiality & Data Protection

  • All client and pet information is treated confidentially and stored securely in line with UK GDPR requirements.
  • Information provided will only be used for the purpose of delivering safe and appropriate pet care services.
  • Personal details will not be shared with third parties without consent, except where required by law or in the event of a veterinary or safeguarding emergency.
